Mr. Oliveira previously served as chief executive officer of Sabesp – Companhia de Saneamento Básico do Estado de São Paulo, one of the largest water companies in the world, and as president of the Brazilian Administrative Council of Economic Defense (CADE). He previously served as Brazil’s Secretary of Economic Monitoring at the Ministry of Finance and as the Undersecretary of Economic Policy. Mr. Oliveira currently sits on the boards of Braskem, Usiminas, Iguá Saneamento and Econservation. He holds a PhD in economics from the University of California Berkeley and was recently named Economist of the Year 2016 by the Brazilian Economists’ Association (OEB).
Mr. Pelúcio is the Chief Executive Officer of Attend Ambiental, a São Paulo based environmental services company that provides wastewater treatment services, and former executive with Continental Grain and other agricultural commodity companies. He previously served on the board of several companies, including Attend Ambiental, UTR Resíduos, Aterro Dona Juana and Inter Rio Incorporadora. He also has extensive experience in Brazil’s agricultural commodity industry, having held various leadership positions for grain associations including ACICO (Portuguese Grain Association), ANEC (Brazilian Grain Association), and Cocereal (European Grain Confederation).
Sérgio Pedreiro has more than 20 years of experience in international finance and business administration. From 2015 to 2019 he was chief executive officer of Estre. Mr. Pedreiro was the chief financial officer of America Latina Logística SA (ALL) from 2002 to 2008, which is listed on the B3 stock exchange and was the largest publicly traded cargo railroad in Brazil. From 2009 to 2014, Mr. Pedreiro was the CFO of Coty, the global beauty company with US$8 billion in yearly revenues. Coty is headquartered in New York, and Mr. Pedreiro was Coty’s Chief Financial Officer during its initial public offering in mid-2013 in which the offering raised approximately US$ 1 billion and the company listed on the NYSE. From 2016 to 2017, Mr. Pedreiro served on the board of directors of Advanced Disposal Inc., a U.S.-based waste management company with US$1.4 billion in yearly revenues. During Mr. Pedreiro’s time on Advanced Disposal Inc.’s Board, the U.S.-based waste company conducted its initial public offering in 2016 in which the offering raised approximately US$350 million and the company listed on the NYSE.
Mr. Pedreiro began his career as a business consultant at McKinsey & Company in Brazil and was also previously an intern at Goldman Sachs in New York. Mr. Pedreiro received his B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering from ITA—Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica in Brazil, and also holds an M.B.A.

Julio Cesar de Sá Volotão
Julio Cesar de Sá Volotão is Estre’s chief executive officer. Mr. Volotão holds a law degree from the Universidade de São Paulo and a specialization degree in tax law from the Instituto de Estudos Tributários. Mr. Volotão also holds an LLM in banking and finance from the University of London and an executive MBA degree from FIA Business School. Prior to his work at Estre, Mr. Volotão headed the legal department at Grupo Ecorodovias and also worked at Clifford Chance LLP’s London office.
Alexandre Ferreira Bueno
Alexandre Ferreira Bueno is the chief operating officer of Estre’s Landfill segment. Mr. Bueno holds a law degree from the Universidade Católica Dom Bosco and an MBA degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Bueno was previously the director of operations at Brado Logística and worked at América Latina Logística for over 10 years.
Thiago Fernandes is the chief operating officer of Estre’s C&I operations. Mr. Fernandes holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Centro Universitário Nove de Julho and an MBA from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. Mr. Fernandes began working at Estre in 1999 having held positions such as operational manager and collections superintendent.
